A rift in the time-space continuum?
' Geez! Just where did I wind up in this time?!'
["This time" implies that Sheryl had dropped into unknown places on a constant basis. Ever since she left Exsilium, she somehow obtained a special dimensional travel vehicle that sent her into different locations and in various timelines. From the old west of the 17th century to World War II-era New York City, to even several new planets circa 2500.
The Galactic Fairy is living up to her name in more ways than one, it seems.
A quick glance around this futuristic area and she lets out a sigh of relief at the sights of technology reminiscent of the Frontier fleet. Folding her arms across her chest with a dignified huff, she begins her lengthy stroll across the new region.]
Well, at least this place looks trendy and high-tech. Much better than I thought it be. Okay, time to find a guide and have him show me around. There's no way that I, Sheryl Nome, will get lost.
[Speaking of tour guides, it seems that she has spotted one! Or at least someone's behind. Time to stride over with all the bravado a high-profile pop idol can muster, bright smiles and everything.]
Hey there! You're from this city, right? Why don't you be a dear and give me a quick tour? I promise you that it'll be worthwhile.

However, he was a civilian now and he wanted to remain in a peaceful world without the Gundam. But would this world --- really be peaceful? There were promises of peace from every side, but if they all wanted the same thing why were those things still in the sky?
He was about to brood some more but was interrupted by Sheryl ...
... Sheryl Nome?
His eyes widened to the size of saucers. What was she doing here? They were not from the same universe at all. As far as he understood her story. Had he been wrong? But if she was an idol with that reputation, Lacus would have definitely have known her. ]
Ms. Sheryl? Wha--- what are you doing here?

Kira Yamato!
[This is an interesting turn of events...]
Wow, it's been so long since I've seen you!

While the worries were still not far from his mind, it would be rude to burden an old friend with them. In the midst of all this conflict, it was nice to see at least one person smile. ]
Too long. I never thought we'd meet again. I did not think you were from our world.
I also see you have not changed.
[ Though it felt like it had been such a long time. She still looked as beautiful and vibrant as ever. ]

[She looks around some more and laughs, flicking some of her hair off her shoulders boisterously.]
Of course I haven't, silly! No matter where I go, I'm still Sheryl.
[Time to glance up and down at the man before her, still keeping her bright smile intact.]
I'd say the same for you, of course.
no subject
We should all be grateful for that. I can't imagine you being anyone else.
[ Knowing himself though, he wasn't sure if his being the same is a good thing or bad thing. But he supposed that Sheryl was paying him a compliment. ]
No. I haven't changed since I returned. At least ... I don't believe I have.
[ He hadn't changed, but his world quickly was and he felt powerless to do anything about it. ]
{ ooc: SORRY! JUST RETURNED FROM VACATION! }

[Sheryl takes immediate notice of the bird that's on top of her head and giggles, reaching out for it.]
I didn't know your place has cybernetic pets, too! But they're much cuter here than where I'm from.

[ He supposed that he probably shouldn't be surprised considering how advanced her world had seemed.
Torii seemed pleased with the compliment and flies unto her shoulder and stayed there. It amused Kira how easily his little friend's loyalty was swayed. ]
He is special to me. A friend gave him to me a long time ago. Since then, he rarely left my side ... except in the presence of a pretty girl it seems.

[Anti-implant regulations in Frontier and other places, but Sheryl digresses. She lets out a soft coo at Torii, gently patting its head with her finger.]
Is that so? Your friend has good taste, Kira. [A small laugh.] He sounds like a Casanova, I'd be careful with those types!
no subject
[ He couldn't recall ever talking about that before. Putting 'implants' on poor animals seemed a bit inhumane though. What did they implant? Microchips? That seemed the most likely, but why would such a thing be regulated? ]
What would they implant on pets?

[She shrugs, her tone shifting into a more serious one.]
I don't really care for them.

Realizing the serious direction of their conversation, he quickly decided to change the subject. ]

You were looking for a guide, weren't you. I might not be the most interesting company, but I can help you get settled if you like.
no subject
Oho, you'll do just fine. You're already easy on the eyes, and I have a strong hunch that you'll take me to the best places. Right, Kira?

Girls usually liked malls, didn't they? It would be like hitting two birds with one stone. She could have her fun and she could get a few things to help her get settled. ]
Maybe you'd like to get a few things first ... we can take the scenic route if you want.
[ He wanted to get away from this sight of war machines. ]

[A sense of nostalgia flows through her as a fond smile appears on her face, remembering of the very first time Alto took her to the most beautiful spots in Frontier. Not a single chemical plant or factory in sight. A second later, she gently tugs him a bit.]
Take me to those spots already! I want to see them!
[Bring on the fresh air, green grass, and blue sea.]

[ He leads her towards his car, not without meeting a few Orb soldiers who were familiar with him as a veteran. They saluted before going on their way and Kira simply returned it.
Being the gentleman, he opened the door for her. ]

[Sheryl flashes Kira a smile of gratitude, then steps inside the car as she scoots over to where the windows are. The military men outside immediately catch her attention, which causes her to tilt her head to one side with a curious glance, delicately raising an eyebrow.]
What group do they belong to? I've never seen those uniforms before.
no subject
[ He didn't say anything more than that. He didn't want to scare her by telling her that people were getting ready for war.
They sped away and began to ask her about her world. ]
What is the music like in your world?
no subject
[She simply gives them a cursory glance before perking up at the mention of music, then claps her hands together.]
It's incredible! Most of the time it's used for entertain every boy and girl across the galaxy, but sometimes it's used as a morale boost for soldiers. Pop music is all the rage, especially with me singing it.
no subject
But ... I would still like to hear it. I might be your first fan in this world.
[ They drove through a gorgeous beach. Because of the military presence, it was practically empty. Usually it was full of beach-goers and children. ]
Look to our left.

[Don't mind Sheryl; she takes music very seriously; the seriousness dies out to be replaced by small laughter, however, and she grins playfully.]
Be prepared to wear a "Sheryl Nome's Number One Fan" T-shirt! I'll make sure you listen to every song in my discography.

Aaah, this is amazing! The beach is so clean and beautiful, and you could see the sea from here!
[A brief pause.]
But wait, I don't see anyone. Oh, don't tell me it's closed!
