A fated encounter
[In a mysterious room of pastel colors and whites, Kouzuki Kallen is sitting on a plush chair, glancing all around her in suspicion. She is no stranger to being sent to new places -- first the island and now... whatever this place is supposed to be. From what she can gather, it is called as "La Vorágine"; it seemed rather harmless but Kallen isn't one to let her guard down. The first thing in her agenda was to leave as soon as possible.
Her blue eyes narrowed at the sound of the door being opened. She got up from the chair to face the visitor, whoever it may be.
And suddenly, her feelings are completely mixed. Confusion, relief and shock all at once, a familiar face stands before her.]
-- Lelouch?

-- Lelouch?

Where--?
Kallen, were you caught in the explosion as well?
no subject
Explosion...? What are you talking about?
[Her eyebrows scrunch up ever so slightly. Could he be referring to the volcanic eruption at the island from several days ago? Except she was nowhere near the area -- in fact, the inn was one of the few places completely intact.]
I thought you were at the inn this entire week!

What is the last thing you remember the two of us doing?
no subject
[Either the monkeys attacked him with coconuts -- which is quite possible given the "anything goes" nature of the island -- or something drastic must have happened to make him forget his current home.]
I was actually checking up on you after everything went back to normal.
[And sure enough, the door was locked -- it just won't unlock itself again.]
no subject
Mm, you'll have to forgive me. I'm not feeling like myself today, this place isn't helping.
no subject
You'd better not be sick or else.
[The only memories she has, besides those from her home in Japan, are the ones from the island. And there's this place but it doesn't count since she's brand new.]
no subject
There's something about this place that I find unsettling. It's nothing like the island or where we are from. Do you have any idea what it might be?
no subject
Wherever this is, it's nothing like I've seen before. The only thing I know besides how warm this place seems is its name.
[And her eyes are suddenly on that collar. Since when did he have it? Was this an island trick?]
... Where did you get that?
no subject
You can take a better look at it, if you want.
Thank you for your concern, Kallen. I feel better knowing that I'm here with you.

[With quick reflexes, she catches the collar with one hand and brings it closer to her for examination. The material is hard and sturdy plastic, as if it's made of the same material as Zero's helmet.
Just as she was going to ask for more information, a hand suddenly touches her shoulder and-- wait, is Lelouch smiling at her? It's not the usual smirk or small smile either. This is very off. Not that she doesn't feel the same way; it's really good to see someone she knows here but utter confusion prevails at the moment.]
Lelouch... what's going on?
no subject
What do you mean, Kallen? I'm only expressing my gratitude. Unless you mean what's going on with the two of us being in here, then I'm not sure.
no subject
No, not that. Don't get me wrong, it's nice to see a familiar face-- but I meant what is going on with you.
[And Lelouch is still at a close distance to where she's sitting, that smile of his only getting gentler. It's nice... but too sudden. Something must be up.]
no subject
There are more important things to worry about at the moment. I'll be fine.
Hm.
no subject
We can't leave this area. I've tried punching and kicking the door open, even unscrewing the latches but so far? Nothing works.
[A frustrated sigh escapes her lips as she lies back against the plush chair once again.]
But I've looked at the other rooms, they seem practically normal so far.
no subject
There's a reason why the two of us were brought here. We're not going to be trapped in here forever. Though it is strange that we've been brought in from different worlds, rather than the same world.
no subject
[Different people from completely different dimensions exist at the island she was currently residing; she even befriended several people from that place. Subsequently, people also leave and return to the island at will, save for the memories which were wiped out. As a result, a theory of multiple versions of the same person existed. She thought all of that was complete lies until she saw it for herself -- Lelouch is actually a perfect example since he left months ago, only to return with different memories... almost as if another Lelouch took place. It's still a concept that Kallen wasn't particularly fond of.]
And how do you know for sure we won't be here forever? Because I have important things to do.
no subject
I cannot not say with absolute certainty, but I have my suspicions.
On my island, people from the same world can come from different points in time. For example, someone could be brought from my childhood. Even though they were taken from that point in time, I would still remember them as an adult. Time in the reality we come from seems to be suspended. Is that true of where you come from?
no subject
[Is it as crazy as the one she resides? That one tends to tamper the laws of physics and throws logic out the window. Trees that grow cotton candy and pizza, skies that rain chocolate, springs that can turn you into animals, and much, much more.
And then she heard what he said. Suspension of time was also prevalent at the island she came from.]
Yeah, it's exactly the same thing. So tell me, is your island as crazy and unpredictable as mine?
no subject
You could say that.
no subject
[Kallen gets up from the plush chair and heads off to the kitchen. There is a sudden light from opening the refrigerator and as soon as she closes its door with her foot, two drinks appear in her hands. She then returns to the living room where Lelouch is sitting on the couch.]
You might be thirsty so I brought these here.
no subject
Thank you. Since you seem to disinclined to believe what I am saying, do you have any theories on how we ended up here?
no subject
We just teleported here out of nowhere? I don't even know.
no subject
There's likely something in this house that will help us figure out more about our world, we'll just have to figure out how to find it.
no subject
What do you suggest we should do? Go through every single room and find clues?
no subject
I think I'll investigate the upstairs and see if I find anything of interest there.
